Collection: Plasma Balls & Plasma Globes

A plasma ball is a glass globe with a small electrode in the middle. Switch it on and purple lightning reaches for the glass. Touch the glass and the lightning follows your fingertip. It has been the same trick since the 1980s and it still stops people in a room.

Three sizes. The 3 inch mini plasma ball runs on USB or batteries and fits a desk or a shelf. The 6 inch plasma ball and the 8 inch plasma ball run on a 12V power adapter and fill a bedroom or a classroom with light.

Plasma ball or plasma globe? Same thing. Plasma lamp, static electricity ball, lightning ball: all the same object. If you searched any of those, you are in the right place.

Who buys them. Teens for a bedroom, adults for a desk, teachers for a physics demo, parents as a night light that is also a science lesson. Ages 8 and up.

BALIBOO is our plasma ball brand. Every globe ships with the power adapter or USB cable it needs.
