Collection: Water Growing Toys

Water growing toys are the simplest science experiment a kid can run at home: drop the animal in a cup of water, wait, and watch it grow up to 600 percent over a couple of days. Take it out and it slowly shrinks back, ready to grow again.

Two families. Dinosaurs that grow in water in packs of 25 and 67, and sea animal toys that grow in water in packs of 32, 52 and 67. Each toy is individually wrapped, which is what makes them work as party favors, Easter egg fillers, classroom prizes and treasure box toys: no counting, no bagging, just hand them out.

How long do water growing toys take? You will see a change in a few hours and full size in 2 to 3 days. Warm water speeds it up. They grow best in plain tap water, not salt water.

Can you reuse them? Yes. Dry them out on a towel for a few days, and they shrink back to pocket size. Most kids grow the same dinosaur three or four times before it loses its shape.

Ages 3 and up. Not for children who still put toys in their mouths.
